For a peaceful, country holiday in the heart of beautiful Northumberland why not come and stay with us in the Old Byre on Rye Hill Farm, a small working Northumbrian farm. For hundreds of years The Old Byre was a milking Byre and feed store and an integral part of our farm buildings. We have lovingly converted it -
The holiday cottage has a well-
The Traveller’s Rest Pub, serving lunches and evening meals is close by. The village of Slaley has a new community pub and a small shop, and the market town of Hexham is just a short drive away. Take a look around the holiday cottage with our Google Tour (below).

We have a games barn with pool table, table tennis, skittle alley and other games. There is a utility room with DIY laundry facilities, ample parking on site and of course plenty of space to sit outside and relax drinking in the fresh air and wonderful views. Bike shed.

Rye Hill Farm is ideally placed for exploring beautiful Northumberland and we are close to the Travellers Rest Pub, Slaley and Hexham -
Friendly, comfortable, and there were laundry facilities. We could have not asked for more, except another night or two. But Rye Hill was booked so had to drive away sadly after a wonderful breakfast. Thank you.
